New LiPo battery run time?

I was reading somewhere that new LiPo batteries are to be run only half empty for the first 2 to 3 runs and then you can start to run them as normal...

I couldn't think of a search string that would produce less than 200 results, so I figured I would ask... Is this true?

Some people say yes, some people say it doesn't matter.

I figure it isn't hard to do, and it won't hurt, and may even help, so why not?
