i have a minor issue. but, i can see it causing a problem.

On all my helis, i have the gear switch (upper right in front of the t/h) set to the gyro's HH mode.

And, until i started using the GY611, all my helis had the switch set to HH in the 'away' position. But, when i programmed the 611 per the manual my HH mode is opposite.

is there any way to reverse the switch's position so that 'away' is HH mode for the 611? not being 100% comfortable with how the 611 works, i don't want to assume the solution as simple as reversing the gear switch in the radio. is it?

Reverse the channel that the gain is plugged into, Aux2 or whatever it is on that radio.

that may be the kicker. on the 9303, when using AUX2 on the RX, you have a choice of gyro modes:

rudder: using the rudder d/r switch to turn HH on and off, or
auto: which uses the mode (normal, idle1, idle2) to define HH mode

i'm using rudder. this automatically inhibits the AUX2 menu in the servo direction menu. so, i can't reverse its direction.

for anyone reading that knows the 9303, i have the gyro sens menu set to:

position 0: 30%
position 1: 75%

would reversing these values give me what i'm after?

yep the gyro goes into HH mode above 50% and normal below. switching the values should effectively reverse the switch

Yep thats right. I've only programmed one or two of those, I'm used to Futaba.

Dont feel bad, we have a lake wind advisory for the area, 20 + sustained winds, I'm cleaning out my work shop and trying to get a few projects done.

If you inhibit the gyro to aux 2, you can then go in and reverse the channel. Go back and setup for aux 2 gyro sens and you should be good to go

that's an idea i'll have to try. thanks, ron.
