I ended up buying or you could borrow a guys 8" or more digital caliper. I have 331mm of flybar showing after 20 turns as closelly as possibl matching putting on the flybar paddles. There may be a better way, but that got me as accuarate as I could get.
this is on a gasser ship with 95v paddles.
I got mine for 44 bucks. doesnt have to be top of the line.
