Doesn't the charger require you to enter the mAh & Voltage of the pack you are about to charge?

I'm kind of curious what the better pilots think of this setup compared to a HV 600 setup. Does this 6s setup have enough power, or is it simply a matter of 12s > 6s, end of story?

Not a better pilot but I still think this entire thread proves beyond any shadow of doubt that with the right motor/ESC setup a great deal can be achieved with a 6S setup:thumbup:

i run a 6s setup with a neu 1907 1y n42 that peaks 5000+ watts and is very powerful on a trex 550. it draws a lot of attention at funflys. people are surprised when they find out it is 6s and not 8-10s.

about to move it into a logo 550 6s.

This is my 6S Castle setup ..It has more power than you'll need to do anything you want and more..

Got the same motor on my 600ESP, with the same great results.
Runs strong and cool, no bogging and no fuss, on 6s.
Unfortunately this motor went the same way as the Castle/Neu did - they're all gone.
As much as I'd love to recommend this powerplant I myself was lucky to get it second-hand when a club friend retired it, after KDE no longer offered the motor NIB.

It seems like this Neu guy really knows how to build motors.

How long do motors typically last? I know bearings can be replaced, but eventually the magnets will lose strength. Anybody ever completely wear a motor out?

glad to see everyone's enjoying their motors. I feel like mine is being wasted just doing big air flying with my 13T pinion.

Actually I haven't flown mine in several weeks, got a new habu 32 and been getting back into the EDF's.

Look forward to seeing some more vids.:peace

How often do you guys clean and lube your OWB? Oil or light grease?

Just put a few drop's of ATF on the bearing every 30 or so flight's..

Anyone know the watt rating of the Castle motor? Judging by the posted flight logs, I'd guess about 3500-4000w.

pril250

I think it is 3KW=4HP.

NRPY

Hmm. I believe the 600MX is rated at 3000w, and it weighs about 300g. I assumed this Castle motor is way more powerful than a 600MX, but if it isn't why bother? Especially when the Castle motor weighs 565g.

As I said I am not sure, will have to check on the paperwork. You can't buy them anymore.
