Sorry for the duplicate post in the TT forum. I think this is the more appropriate location.
I'm sure that some of you are running this combination with DJ's "stretch". If so what do you do to the root end to get it to clear the spindle bolts?? I've got the stock plastic grips but probably shouldn't make a difference. Thanks for the help.

Hmmm, are you talking about a clearance issue between the root of the main blade and the spindle bolt?
I'm using FunKey 660's with a Kasama head and there's no issue. I originally had the plastic V2 grips and it wasn't an issue either.
What grips are you running, V1 or V2?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it is a clearance problem between the socket screw on the v2 spindle with stock grips and the blade root on the 680 tt blade. I as well have the Funkey 660 semi's and there is not a problem there. But I recently picked up a set of the TT blades and was going to give them a go but ran into this issue.

I used my 12" bench disc sander with some 80 grit and trimmed the root ends by about 5mm or so.

Thanks DJ! Did you seal up where you sanded with epoxy or anything?

I had also contacted DJ about how to do this with those particular blades when I first stretched my Raptor. It works like a charm and I've had no problems. I was using the Mavrikk metal blade grips.

Great! Thanks Jeanette... I'm going to take a disc sander to them over lunch... we'll see what happens! It's a little too cold up here to do any real flying (although I did sneak out yesterday but only about 1/2 a tank until I couldn't stand it anymore) so anyway I'm taking care of some 'winter' projects that I need to get up and running. Thanks again!
