Oh Yea Baby, after flying Steve (RS Rogers) a couple weeks ago and loving the way it flew, and liking the one battery pack and medium easy to see size of it, I decided to try one for myself.

Paul Pan and Tone and I forgot the other fine Century Rep's name were at WRAM, they answered all my questions and I ended up getting one. :)

Can't wait to fly it!! :glasses2:

Time to get out the work table, a beer and watch some Finless build along with me vids and get this puppy airborn!!

Good luck and feel free to ask questions!
Remember there are some errors in the manual so watch my vids as I point them out.

Bob...it all depends if I actually send him the Swift...see...I was brought up that possesion is 90% of the law...and I seem to be looking at the Swift box sitting byt my front door right now...hmmm...maybe I have a Swift to fly around at my place! :D

naw...I don't need one...guess I will put it in the mail to Will tomorrow....

I am actually tempted to do just that! But I have too many projects in the fire right now to clutter up my work bench with a Swift!

Good luck & enjoy. I actually managed to get 2 packs through mine today. It's the first ive flown the swift since rebuilding and have to say WOOOHOOO, its a blast. I felt pretty rusty, so didnt do too much. I removed the sticky covers from the paddles for the 2nd pack and it is definately less twitchy. FYI Im running stock woodies, 4S1P-4350. Electron 80/100 esc, Align bec with step down, Century 550+ with 9t module, GY401 & 9254. I have 645MG's on cyclic.

It was -10 outside, so i only put 5 min on each pack, can't wait for the better weather. :D

Please send it Greg. I could not take it on the plane on the way back. :DOH I guess considering the number of people with canceled flights at the airport, I did OK.

Thanks for sending it Greg!! Looking forward to flying soon. :)

SWEET pics!

It is not the new carbon one Bobby I don't think. But it does have the Brushless motor and ESC. I will take some pics when it gets here today or tomorrow from Greg. Flying sucks, you can't take everything with you like driving. :(

That new carbon bird is SWEET!! I plan to get the metal head and 3rd bearing for the main shaft and the hardeend spindle.

Will, You're going to love it. Mine suprises me often. Last weekend it was very windy here in Port Charlotte. Little Steven put his Hurrican back in dad's van after one flight. I wanted a fix so out came the swift. Six mins of fun and it took back 3515 mah's to fill the fp 4900 6s pack. I'm running the century style 600+ and a castle creations phoenix-80 esc. It flew great even in gusty winds. I autoed it to my feet even w/o the tail drive. I think I'm going to get the new carbon one and keep this one, not change out the electronics like planned. This little bird turned out to fly much better than I would have guessed. I love it when something is better than expected. TimT

Well thanks Trevorz. That just makes my plastic Swift look inadequate. Can you post a close-up of the elevator push-pull?

Trevor,

Give us more. What are you using for power pack (motor/esc/battery) and what blades are you gonna use on it?

Here are some pics of the elevator servo and bellcrank.

For setup, I will be using the Century 600+, with Rotortech 550s, ESC and Batts TBD, but probably 6S 3700s, and 7S emoli. Was thinking the 45HV for the ESC.

Trevor.

P.S. sorry Will for highjacking your thread :)

That redesign on the elev. link is amazing. That eliminates the need for the guide pin and the guide. It looks very stout and positive. Great pics. Thanks for the look. I would like it if the 620 canopy came with the 550. I see no need for the metal extras that come in the 620 kit and I want a premium 550 size bird. TimT

Wow, that elevator set-up is nice! I have to get one of these heli's. Where did you get the servo wheels? Do they match the cyclic distance also?

Hi, the servos wheel for the elevator is an old alum one from century. The other ones are large Futabe wheels drilled to 12.5mm to give the correct spacing.
