Default Falcon 3D Swashplate Upgrade Quesion

Can someone please tell me how to remove the black plastic oreintator block on the Art-Tech Falcon 3D? I'm trying to upgrade the swashplate and I don't know how to remove it properly. I've attached a couple of pictures with this area circled in red. The plastic block I'm trying to remove has a long screw that goes through the mainshaft and screws into it.

I think you can push that little rectangle shape plastic piece out.

the collective rod from the servo down below screws into this block. i had a heck of a time getting it out before i realized that.

i think i grabbed the collective rod with some pliers to unscrew it

You're both right. You need to unscrew the rod inside the mainshaft first. Just grab it at the bottom with some pliars and spin the head (after you've loostened the grub screw). Then, when it's out, you can push out the little plastic rectangle with a small screw driver.

What they said.

Kinda cool seeing someone still flying their Falcon. Mine has been sitting on a shelf for over a year now. I have a good amount of parts and stuff, I just never got back into it.

I tried to get mine back up last month. I had periodically been buying parts when I saw them. I finally got everything after waiting for almost a year trying to find a TT and bevel gear set. When I got to rebuilding the head I just shelfed it. I had forgotten that the plastis hed has no bearings anywhere. Everthing binds if I get it tight enough that it wont fall off. I dont know how I ever flew this thing. Served me well for a while. I feel bad for it. I have a box of parts too.

You have to unscrew the pitch wire from the center of the shaft and then remove the plastic key that holds the block in place. Good luck.
