I'm going to order the phoenix software, but I don't want to use my 9303 radio. What is the minimum channel radio you can use with the software to work correctly? Can I get by with a 6 channel radio or do I need a 7 channel radio?

Thanks,
Dan

I am running a 6 channel. For helis 6 is fine. For most planes 6 is fine. The problem for me is when going between the two. Additional channels would mean fewer compromises for some models.

Thanks,

I'm getting it for helis. I found a good used JR 6102 that should work well, I hope.

you only need 4. but if you want throttle hold on the tx minimum is 5.

I only have a 4 channel Tx. Can I bind the other functions like the throttle hold in the keyboard instead?

On mine I can assign channels to keys on my number pad. Since I run it on a notebook computer, I don't really have a numberpad. However, if you do, you can assign some channels to any numberpad key.

There may be other key assignment options with other setups. For my setup, the numberpad is my only keyboard option.

The manual can be seen here (http://www.phoenix-sim.com/items/referenceManual_en.pdf)

You can use a 4 ch Tx. But a 6ch with heli functions would be better.

I use a 6102 I got for pretty cheap.
