are there any more detailed specs for the DS8715 available ? It says 0.09s and 12Kg and 4.8V only.

For this price I assume metal gear, core-less motor and probably2 BB, but anyone knows ?

Ok, everything I'm saying is just a guess because here in the US we can't get the 8715, but I've looked around and this is what I guess:

The 8715 has the same case design as the 8711. I would imagine that these two servos have the same motor and that the difference in performance is only a matter of gearing. The 8711 is (soon to be) available in the US and is listed on the jrradios.com web site.

The 8711 is rated for operation at both 4.8v and 6v. It has metal gears. It has six case screws; the two extra screws go in from the top, in the middle. This quality of servo would always have two ball bearings, even though I didn't see that mentioned.

I would guess that the 8715 has similar specs and thus I would expect that it could be used at 6v.

Thanks ! Yes, that would be very good to know, the guy in the shop told me 4.8V only, but it does not say it even on the box. In Japanese it says also something "aluminum" and nothing about bearings or motor, I don't get the point not mentioning this even on the box... :?
