Talked to E-flite today about the blue aluminum head they have on their box for the CP Pro. They aren't making them. Talk about false advertising. Ya theres other aftermarket CNC heads available but thats not really the point. According to E-flite the head would have retailed at around $75.

So add that to the heap of woes from E-flite. Totally unreliable tail motors that fry after a few flights, weak main shafts, weak skids, weak main motors and BS promised upgrade parts that will never materialize.

Do I like my CPP? Yes.

Do I think E-flite misled people that bought them? Yes

Do I think they should make a better tail motor and ship them free to people that bought the CPP? Yes

Should E-flite publicly apologize for not delivering what they advertised in regards to upgrades? Yes

When will companies stand up and be responsible to the people that buy their products?

One thing EVERY CPP owner has encountered is the tail motor problem. Wish I would have sent them a picture of a check before I bought it with the promise of "coming soon" then direct them to other RC hobbyist for payment as they offer similar checks as the one pictured.

Come on E-flite. Admit you sold all of us a load of Do-Do. Replace the faulty tail motors and provide the upgrades as promised.

In the very least state on the box: "Upgrade parts are fictitious. Must replace tail motor after a few flights".

I just bought the HDX300 CNC head from Helidirect.com but not having any luck replacing it. Having some trouble removing the Main Gear from the shaft. If I ever get it replaced I will let you know how well it works.

Wow, pretty harsh. I have had good luck with the CP's and I fly them a lot.

Buy one of the other small helis and compare; the Blade is a Cadillac compared to other kits in it's price range.

As for the tail motors, I've broken far more than I've worn out by tapping the rotor on the pavement and knocking the shaft out of the bearing. Most folks that fly a lot eventually go to a dual-motor or direct-drive setup.

You have to remember that the Blade CP sells for $219.00; most 6-channel radios cost that much alone. Helicopters are expensive and the Blade CP is a good low-cost entry to the hobby IMO.

Ya I suppose I was pretty harsh. I just wish that companies would be honest with their customers. When I first thought about getting into this hobby I was torm between a trex and a CPP. I opted for the CPP based on its low cost and I thought then not knowing anything about RC Helicopters that I could upgrade to aluminium parts from the manufactuer as depicted on the packaging. I like my Blade CP Pro. Its the manufactuers I dont like. If your not going to make something then take it off your packaging.

I think the Microheli CNC head requires the Microheli shaft. I could be wrong.

dparkhouse, If i'm not mistaken, the main gear and shaft are one piece on the Blade, 2 pieces on the HoneyBee CP2.

EDIT: I might be wrong. Check out this page: http://www.bladecprepair.com/

I have a CP Pro and love it. They should supply the parts they advertise, and the main shafts could stand an upgrade. That said, if you get a piece of brass tube that just fits over the shaft, you can slide up to the bend, use a tap hammer, keep sliding, and repeat until you have a fairly straight shaft. I get about two or three crashes and repairs before having to actually replace one.

The plastic head works just find and is quite durable and light.

Have fun!
