Has anyone had or has a Logo10 with a Hacker C50 13L , 18.46ESC 4S4P 8000MaH bat. Swinging 550mm blades , Has anyone had any problems with heat and had their ESC cut off ? Then had to Auto in . If so what did you do to fix this ? Any suggestions are welcome !!!

I would have to say a 4S setup with 550mm blades is going to draw a LOT of current. I'm surprised the ESC hasn't started smoking yet. I would definitely think about going to at LEAST a 5S setup, 6S would be better.

OK how about if I used 500mm blades ? Would I be back in the ball park then ? I mean this is what a couple of guys said . I just can't I guess get through my thick head :arggg: that 1 inch extra of circumference would make that much difference . But I guess it really can . The only reason I went to 550s was the lack of availability of decent priced blades for the 500mm . So I guess it is back to 500mm . I have too much in this setup to change . So if all I need to do is go back to the 500mm blades than that will be fine .

I'd be willing to guess going to 500mm would help. I haven't run that configuration myself so I can't really say with any certainty what your results will be.

An inch really doesn't seem like that much. However, picture that extra inch added to the entire rotor disc and you have a lot of area to consider.

I am sorry Bobby I am so late getting back to you I thought I had turned on the thing that is supposed to let me know if there is a new post . But anyway it is spinning @ 1700 RPMs .

I'm just starting to fly my Logo 10, which is equipped with Hacker B50-13L with which I'm runnning 4S, 14T pinion and 500mm blades. I've calculated the current draw as being 22 Amp (just hovering around) and my 40Amp ESC is barely warm at the end of a 10 minute flight. The motor gets a bit hotter than that and the battery pack is lukewarm. Oh, I'm running 1700rpm too. I'd suggest you change back to the 500mm blades, see what happens and take things from there.
BTW - running 550 blades as against 500 is TWO inches on the radius and FOUR inches extra diameter

... and 21% more surface area on the rotor disc.
