Sounds like it is getting stuck balancing your packs. Could be a pack issue, could be a charger issue. Regardless that is not the best charger for charging big packs, so you should really look into a better model.

You will never make money flying helis

Just remember that skimping in a hobby often leads to less fun and isn't that what it all about? Besides, $130 is not a lot of money and it can cut your charging time by 80% if you want it.

oh I know, been eyeballin a few chargers... and power supplys

but that 130 bux can buy 6 gallons of nitro.. and I didnt need a better charger until I got the 500 in the air a few weeks ago..

lookin at the icharger lineup and the bantam line.. I like the built in ports for 2-6 cell without an external adapter

you favor the icharger line dont you??? who sells them in US at a good price

6 gallons of nitro runs out after 40-60 flights but a decent charger will last you 1000s. I do like the iChargers and have had really good luck with both of mine. The 106B+ is a great first real charger and will run great off either your car or a converted server power supply (that can be had for like $20 and will outlast even a Honda!). Both ProgressiveRC and EPBuddy offer great service and prices.

I run 3 HobbyKing Eco 6-10 200watt chargers with the Dell 700 watt server power supply.

I can balance charge 3 5000mah 6 cells at 2c in 30-40 minutes.

All for less than $200.00 and will run AC at home.
