hello all. i was hoping to find some help with a problem... lately, i've been getting less positive pitch than i should be, but my negative pitch is still where it once was (i dont have a gauge, sadly). So, for example, when in idle up full positive collective doesn't give nearly as much lift as full negative. The sad thing is i just got my heli perfectly trimmed! now i have to start messing with it again. any help is greatly appreciated!

You really need to get a pitch gauge, I posted a paper one here in the forum, do a search. Print it out, it's the only one I have for my 250 and works great.
One other thing you can do is in IU with TH on fold your blades together and see if they meet. At mid stick in IU you should have 0 pitch, so if the blades meet you know you are good. at mid stick. You can also go to full negative stick and measure the distance between the folded blade and see if it's different that full positive stick.

From your post (OP), it sounds like in your tuning, that you inadvertently moved away from having the swash centered on the main rotor shaft at midstick. So the swash might be level, and pitch may be zero at midstick, but there is less travel for + pitch than - pitch.
However if the swash is basically midway between the limits of travel, maybe you have limited swash travel in the + direction, but not in the - direction in your transmitter.
Finally, get a pitch gauge. There are some tools that are basically essential for heli's. You need a small one for the 250, that is true, but there are several available. I have the Align one (with the adapter included with my 250), but there are others.

I found the Align one too heavy, and got a small one from XTreme, which was only a few bucks and works much better. Also, be sure to get one of Rick Lohr's flybar locks -- once you've used it, you'll wonder how you ever survived without.

so after i get a pitch guage, do i center my swash by adjusting my control arm length? everything in my TX seems to be normal, although i'm definitely not getting full travel when i push the stick up.
