Just wondering, can you abort an auto? Lets say I timed it wrong and I'm still too high. Can I just hit throttle-unhold or could that cause something to break?

That would be the way to do it. Is there any other way?

I'm just wondering if I should first put the throttle in the middle position before I hit throttle un-hold or could I just hit it at 100%

in case you have 9303, you can use throttle delay for this - just to avoid stripping the gear from 0 to full power immediately. Guess other good radios have something similar.

The fastest way for blades to spin up is at 0 degrees so half stick should be fine.

just make sure you have enough altitud (at leasat 20ft)for the heli to be able to stop the dropping and start climbing. If you are too low and the heli can't stop the drop and you hit ground full throtle it wont be nice. Just don't ask me how I know this
