I was just wondering if anyone could tell me, or post pics on how they mounted their Edvr's ( 5 in 1's) on the T-Rex 450? I would like something easily removeable, and of course as vibration free as possible.

I want to use the cam to shoot small movies, and I find that when you put it into "vid record" mode, if you don't start shooting within 15 seconds or so, it reverts back to the default mode of "still pic" setting. This makes for a real pain in the way the cam mounts to the heli, as you have to have good access to the buttons on the cam.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a similiar setup, and what they managed to come up with.
Thanks,
Jaggy

Hi Jaggy

I did the same with my edvr. It was a pig to mount on the 450. My best early attempts used duct-tape to the side of the canopy!!! Minimal vibration - it worked well. The mount needs to be as rigid as possible as the Trex doesn't have much vibration if balanced well. I ended up with an aluminium bracket coming out the side from under the chassis. I didn't take photos of it sorry.

My best mount has been an aluminium bracket of the side of my T600. Perfect for critiquing a flight afterwards. Extra bonus - it showed how unlevel I was entering a loop!!!

I made an attempt of using a foam block, with a hole cut in it to slip the Edvr into. I strapped that to the battery, sticking out from the front of the heli. That way I could get the Edvr working, and then quickly slip it into the hole in the foam.It worked decently, just a bit of waviness in the vid, but not too bad. Thanks for your suggestions, Pete.
