Does anyone know if you can use an external gyro with a blade cp (not pro) with the stock 4-in-1?? If so how??

You will have to hack the setup to hook the gyro up. Try a search here and on RC Groups.

I found 1 hack, but some people on "the other forum" say you can't turn down the mixing pots far enough to disable them, so you will have interference with an external gyro, any truth??

No idea, if they have had that proble, then it sounds like a real problem.
You can always just get a 3 in 1 for a CP Pro and swap that in, using either the stock Rx part from the 4 in 1, or something like a Light Flight RC D6, which is what I am using on mine. You can then sell the 4 in 1 to someone who burned theirs up. :)
