just wondering about the time to charge some of the larger lipo packs.

if we were to charge from around 80% discharged to full at 1C , what is the normal time in minutes ?

and whats the fastest rate anyones dared to charge at ?

The size of the pack doesn't make any real difference in charging time. Only potential factor is for high capacity packs (5000+ mAH) if the charger can't charge at high enough amp rates.

But at 1C 80% takeas about 65 minutes.

The highest I have heard of charging is 3C. But the time from switching from Constant Current to Constant Voltage takes about the same time no matter the C rate so 3C isn't 3 times as fast as 1C for a full charge.
