Its pretty loud in programing mode and I wanted to know if theres a way to mute it or lower it.

No way in software. You could open the case, void the warranty, and install a small switch or pot in the wire leading to the little beeper.

Awwwww shchuks I was afraid of that. Its nice to have a loud radio at certain times ie: countdown etc but you shoud be able to soften it somewhat.

Opening the case does NOT void the warranty. The manual instructs you to open the case to adjust the stick tension.

Hey jermo maybe on v4 of your DX7 series youll figre out how to adjust the beep volume lol.

hehe..I'll add that to the list :D if we can get to the buzzer probably just put a piece of black tape over it.

No, but cutting the wire to the "beeper" and inserting a switch or pot does! Sorry if I created confusion with the ordering of the phrases in my prior post. :)

The tape should work if you can get it over the piezo driver. I have put tape over beepers on other equipment and it works well.
