Well I am just getting in to RC Helicopters and planes (yes I love both) and well I am just getting all of my radio equipment and RX and now all of this 2.4GHz stuff starts coming out. Well My question is should I stop buying all of these RX and get the 2.4GHz modular for my 9303 and start getting 2.4GHz RX's and just go that way? I have everything that I need for 72mhz except for one RX I even have the scan select modular for my 9303 and well I just don’t know if it is better or just a different way to transmit to my equipment or is there a very great reason to sell my 72mhz stuff and get 2.4GHz stuff. Well I thank you for reading and if you wish to comment please feel free to. I know in the end it is up to me and my wallet. I would like to know what is on everyone else’s mind about this subject.

The modules for the 9303 are not yet shipping.

When they do, consider how many problems you've had with 72Mhz (I'm betting it will be very few) and let that control the rate at which you convert.

Will do and you are correct, I have not had any problems out of the 72 but I am also very new at this kind of stuff so I just wanted to know waht some others were thinking about it. Thanks Cliff

I have a 9303 and am considering the module also. Like Estes states above...I've had zero problems with 72mhz. My push for converting is elimination of having to share frequencies at the AMA field where I fly. Don't have to wait or change freq to fly. Other than that, 72mhz and PCM have been bullet proof on my heli's and planks.

Just asking why not get everyone to say what channels they have and just change all of your crystals to one single channel maybe and have a back up for just in case. I only have 3 rx and I have one scan select rx and two ch 19 and as far as I know no one at my club has ch 19, well atleast no one has written down ch 19 and we have about 40+ members.

Because I fly at two different clubs. Each of which has over 100 members. Actually, even with that, 72mhz channel conflicts are rare on any given day. A couple of modules (and/or synth) take care of that.

The biggest reason: Fun Fly events!

The same for me, I fly at one club which is mixed heli and fixed wing and fixed wing get channels 55 to 79 (UK 35mhz) and helis get 81 to 90, at my other club you are assigned a free frequency when you join, plus we have a peg board for channels in use. Luckily I'm using 87 at both but I've had to buy new crystals before when the one club changed the channels available to helis.

At the moment I'm switching the fleet over to 2.4ghz so soon this shouldn't be an issue.

2.4 seems forbidden (or let's say 'not approved') here in japan, so just check your country first ...
