View Full Version : Can I use Finless curve guide on a JR 6102?

Hi everybody

I am currently building my first Trex. To be ready for my first flight I have used Realflight G3 with my JR 6102. I have also been looking at Finless’ videos regarding throttle and pitch curve to make the Sim as real as possible.

From Finless’ video I can see that his Futaba Tx has a throttle stick that rest in “down” position – while the throttle stick on my 6102 rests in the middle position. When he “fires up the engine” in Normal mode he moves the throttle stick from “Down” position and up. I will be moving it from the middle position and up on my JR 6102.

Does this mean that I cannot use his throttle and pitch curve (for normal mode) on my Tx?

Hope somebody can understand what I mean. I will hate to see my Trex fly to the moon when I start it the first time.

Thanks

why would you have the throttle stick in the middle position. sounds like you need to check your settings on realflight . maybe you need to calibrate your transmitter in realflight.

sounds like the difference between idle-up and normal mode.

In normal mode, the throttle stick will be all the way down for zero throttle and a couple degrees negative pitch. On a 5 step curve, it would be something like: 0 25 50 75 90

there is no zero throttle in idle up. In idle up mode the throttle curve would be something like 90 80 75 80 90, and pitch from -10 to +10

Or am I just not understanding your point?

sounds like the throttle is spring loaded to return to centre ? if so , get rid of the spring!!

You'll need full travel to get a decent pitch setup too ...

Is it a Mode 2 radio that you are using on Mode 1 ,? or mode 1 being used on Mode 2 ? And the springs, tensioners haven't been swapped over on the gimbals ?
