i havent touched my blade cp pro since i bought my trex. since i already have a dx7 for my trex, should i buy a ar6100 for use on my blade cp pro? is it worth it? thanks.

I've heard it's a HUGE jump up for the CPP.

i noticed mine was quite a bit smoother right off the bat. after tweaking some of the settings it smoothed out a little more. i am starting to repeat myself but the only thing i dislike about the cppro is the tail motor burns out so quickly. i go through a tail motor about once every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. that's crazy.
i want a belt drive 300 size heli.

by the way you'll need to do the seperates mod on the heli so you can use part of the old 3in1 to control the tail.

don't think so. the cppro has a regular received, just replace the old receiver with the new one. only thing jsut make sure you plug the servos in the correct channel. the existing receiver is based on futaba channel numbering and the ar6100 is based on JR channel numbering. i did this with my cppro and it was a straight replacment.

I converted mine today. Took a while to figure out the DX7 and all the settings - Jermo's video helped, as well as posts from others who have done the same thing. I haven't had time to really tweak it, but after it was air-worthy I flew in the garage for a while and it seems MUCH smoother. No more glitching! I was in heaven, and now that I have the DX7 I'm ready for the inevitable TREX upgrade  . As soon as I can find a 450SE V2 in stock I'll grab one.

I dont' have a cp/cpp, how did you deal with the tail motor?

hi Jermo, didn't have to do anything for the tail. originally, the 2 motors (main and tail) plug into the 3n1 then the output lead from the 3n1 plug into the receiver throttle channel. the reason i say originally above is because i went with the brushless motor that changed the wiring a bit (required a couple Y connectors etc..).
i also have the HH gyro (G90). you just unplug the "rudder" connector from the 3n1 and plug it into the gyro, then plug the rudder lead from the gyro into channel 4 in the ar6xxx.
i am slowly being weaned off the cppro to full time trex flying.

edit: small correction: unplug the rudder connector from the receiver and plug it into the gyro, then the gyro lead into the new receiver.

ah ok... on all the reading it sounded like the 3in1 and the rx were sandwitched together and had to be seperated with some of the 3in1 still in use. tnx for the clarification.

With the "Plain CP" (not the pro) uses a 4 in 1 where the Tx is part of the motor control/etc... That's probably where the 'seperates" mod needs to be done.
I just ordered my DX7 and picked up a 6100 receiver, so I'll be trying this soon as well! :D
