I just received an ar6100 installed it in my trex went to spool it up and bam
lock out with blades spinning. I then rebound it and the same thing. took the rx out set it up on the table, when I move the sticks slow it's ok but when I move the sticks fast the led on the rx goes off then back on in a few seconds.
I have an ar7000 I installed it and everything is great.

is it possible that I have a defective ar6100?

any thoughts would be great thanks.

I took all radio parts out of the heli plugged in a seperate fully charged rx pack (no esc), and three new out of the box mg65 servos and I still have lock out when I move the sticks fast.

Might be a power issue? Drawing more current than you BEC can deliver

I have seen this symptom while bench testing my dx7 with the stock rx (AR700) batter,y and servos(DS821x4) also had a digital tail servo and gy401 attached when moving the sticks fast in all directions the lights on the rx would go out followed by no response after several seconds would reconnect. I think the battery is not up to the task. I am know using a TP2100 lipo with a Kool Flight UBEC Problem solved ( I am using this in a Raptor )

I had something like that one time when my RX flight pack was low (I only use it for bench testing, disconnected the motor from the esc and the issue cleared up. I suspect the ESC is somehow drawing power back through the ESC control cable causing my power system (flight pack 4.8v battery) to stall.

TRex 600,TP4500,LRP 7.4v 2200mah flight pack, Align regulator, 3x3050s, 401/3154 , DX7, AR7000 rx - My mate put it through its paces (3D) with no problems - wish I could fly it like that!

Ok I took the receiver and hooked it up to a fresh 6v batt pack hooked up 3 hs65 servos
and when I move the sticks fast it cuts out for a second or two. I tried differant batteries and different servos and it still cuts out when you add 3 or more servos

what's the mAH rating on the battery pack? sounds like the system isn't getting the power it needs.

Edit: or something is binding/dragging the power down. You can monitor it with a Voltmeter if you have one. The voltage shouldn't appreciably drop under load if it has the capacity to handle the load.

Go back to your AR7000. If there are no problems with it in the same system then return your AR6100 for a new one. My AR6100 replaced my AR7000 in a system with three DS285 servos and a DS3400 with no problems. My Trex is a 450SE. Why risk a lockout?
