Default 5V regulator on T-rex 600 ???

I bought a 5.4v regulator from RadicalRc, I have a 6V BEC, I think the one that comes with the Align kit is 5.1v, will the one I bought that is 5.4v be to much for the gyro/servo.

Or should I go and buy the align 5.1v regulator.

Thanks

If you run a Futaba 611 and 9256 servo then yes 5.4 is too much. The servo is the limiting factor. It is very fast and they run lower voltage to the servo to help keep it cool.

Your 5.4V reg should be fine. Most 4.8v nicad rx batteries are putting out this voltage initially (hot off the charger) anyway. I would not use anything higher than this for 4.8v tail servos though. If your tail servo feels pretty warm after a flight, you may want to use the Align step-down regulator on it.

Cheers,

Tom C

I am running a 601 gyro, do you think I will be OK, or should I go get something lower?
