Hi guys,
The Razor maidened to day, and we had a few challenges with the CC85 that I am curious to put out there.
I have been running with Clint's setup guide, but I have hit a wall. It may be the speedie, or me, but having followed Clint's setup to the letter, I am thinking it is the speedie.
All of the settings, spool up speeds, motor power, etc, and as per his Clint's Guide. I have then...
1. I have calibrated the Throttle.
2. Set the Speedie in Heli: Fixed Endpoint
3. I have spooled the heli up to 75% and tached the Head to get the "Target" headspeed.
4. Changed to Heli: Governed (High or Low does the same thing)
5. With the sticks centred, I start to roll up the centre point on the throttle curve to find the sweet spot for the Target headspeed. I get to 1.5 to 2.5% and the heli is soft starting... then BANG full power, heli does a 360 on the ground, throttle hold is thrown and I go to change my underware.
NOW... what makes this interesting is this. Change it back to Heli: Fixed Endpoints, Stunt 1 on the Radio is 100-100-100 (ie Flat across the top). Throttle hold on, into Stunt 1, throttle hold off and it soft spools beautifully.
I flew the heli like this for the rest of that day, motor, esc and bats were all cool, and the world was wonderful.
So, has anyone got any idea as to why, when in governed mode, it kicks in like a mule? I can certainly say that the MA Main Gear in this sucker is TOUGH... after this happening twice, with full piros on the ground, the main gear is perfect.
I know Will and Clint, and many others are running these in Governed mode and they LOVE IT... but what's going on with this? I know it has to work, and I am pretty sure it isn't me.
Advice would be appreicated.
Thanks,
Chris
