I have a CX2 with an AC/DC charger. I would like to charge batteries in the field but it is not convenient to have my car battery near. Would someone please recommend a good low maintenance battery I could take to the field to use with my E-Flite charger?

A big 3 cell Lipo would do the trick.
For example, if you had a 3S5000.
Assume a 3S5000 discharge to 80%
Assume an 80% 2S charger efficiency
A factor of 1.5 since you are using a 3S to charge 2S
Assume each charge is (conservatively) 800 mAh
5000 * 0.8 * 0.8 * 1.5 / 800 ~= 6
... you should be able to charge your 2S800 about 6 times with a 3S5000.
