Hi Guys,

I recently purchsed a ready to fly shockie package from Will Hicks at Will's Hobbies. The price was definitely good and everything I have seen that Will has built was SUWEET, so I said what the heck.

I took delivery of it last weekend and I am deligted!! Will ROCKS!! Luckily he has a couple more of my foamies to build. :)

Anyway, this shockie was built super light, it has a modded CD-ROM motor and is flying a Kokam 700 mah pack.

Cool! I finally finished building my shock flyer clone. Man it flies great! I'm using a cheapo GWS motor and a 3 cell LiPoly. Plenty of power! I need to work on the CG, though. It falls out of parachutes and waterfalls.

I trashed this Shock Flyer yesterday. Left it on top of my trailer when I pulled it out of the garage. :DOH Shit! It is majorly messed up. Nice move huh...

Never even got to fly it because I cannot find my charge lead.

Thak you Bart. Yes I found the charge lead right before the Invasion at Mac's, but unfortunately it was to late to save my shock flyer form destruction.

Just got back from Will's shop. Dropped off all the parts I had from the old one and Will is gonna move all that into a new one. :) Thanks Will

He also had one of the killer new Funtana electrics. Looked really cool and very cute it is so little. I am seriously considering one of them for a late christmas gift. :)

I would be very curious to hear how the little electric Funtana flys, as I'm considering getting one ASAP.

Thank you in advance

Ok guys got the first flights in on mine this afternoon.

This thing ROCKS! It flys just like my Funtana 90 and even a little better in knife edge. I kid you not. It looks just like it in the air minus the red covering on the bottom. And boy oh boy can you see that red covering. I was really surprised at how well it hovered. I was expecting it, just like its big brother, once it gets out of shape, no rudder will bring it back. But boy was I wrong. Plenty of authority. I flew mine in the precision wing place no problem. Knife edge had a little coupling of elevator to the gear when you grab a ton of rudder, no big deal though. No wing rocking problems when you get the harriers at just the right spot. Rolls looked really good, very axial in high alpha and fast, just like the big one. Tons of power in with the setup reccommended (see below for setup) I will post more as I get more flights in and some pics tomorrow with it next to its big brother. If you cant tell I love this plane. Just like flying the big one, but flying in a smaller place.Heres my setup.

empty wieght- 18OZ.
AUW 24 oz. ( with thunder power 2100 3S)
Eflite park 400 4200KV
Hitec HS55 on ailerons
Hitec HS 50 on tail
35 degrees aileron delection
As much as I could get on the tail
Supplied Eflite 12x6 prop
Hitec Electron 6 receiver
Castle creations Ph-25
Jr 9303

Will this was copy and pasted from my review on RCU. The little Fntana is awesome. But you have to fly it like a glow plane. Up high, and use caution. There is more to loose if you crash this one then a foamie. I love it though. I flew it in a litle wind and it handles it better then a foamie. Also it flies faster then a foamie. I love mine. IF you can 3D a nitro plane then you will love this. I will post some pics today some time.

My ExtremeFlight YAK is delicate like that to. Not sure if I am gonna get the Funtana or not.... I like the YAK, but I am afraid to do much with it because it is so fragile. One slip.... no tip....

Will I have flown the Yak. It is uniqe as well. You must fly it in a little wind for it to be good. i think that is its strong point. Its a really good outside plane. It has some bad tendencies if I remeber right. Wing rocks in harriers and will tip stall in inverted harrier (thats how I crashed my friends, uncontrolable wing rock until it snapped out and went right in the ground) Being that the yak is a profile plane, you still have "Its a foamie, I can bang it around" in the back of your mind when flying it. But you cant. Takes some respect. HAHA

The Mini Funtana is different some way. I am sure as I get more comfortable I will torque roll it on the ground and all. But anyways, its a good plane.

Bart- c0ome on now, I wouldnt copy and paste someone elses words. I did write all that.

Yea I have been a little disappointed withthe YAK to. Very hard to fly compared to all the foamies I have and have flown. Maybe I will get the Funtana. Anyone looking for an extremeFlight YAK airframe only?

How does the stock shocky fly guys? More of a heli-man than a plank-man but i had to get one just to have a blast around on whilst the heli is charging. She'll be going for her maiden flight in the morning. :D

I've never flown the Extreme Flight YAK foamie, but my husband scratch built a 36" wingspan YAK. Here's a video of me flying it inside a gym:

http://gra.midco.net/anj/hobby_corner.htm

It's flies awesome...and has an easy "sweet spot" for hovering.

As far as foamies go, I would hands-down say to get a TENSOR 4D!!!

Mine just came in and I can't wait to get it in the air. It flies knife edge with NO rudder. If you breath on the rudder, it climbs!

Shockies fly GREAT. The lighter the better they fly. I am really looking forward to getting my replacement back from Will's Hobbies!!

Nice hovering Whirly-Girl!! We all have one of those Foamie YAK's. It is a very nice flyer. I have mine setup just like you with 2212/26 and all. WAY overkill for it huh?? :D

The ExtremeFlight YAK is built up, and not a foamie. Not near as forgiving. I am getting better at flying it and the new Duralite Packs I am testing really wake it up. Going out to fly it in a few minutes actually. :)
