Ice 50 firmware (and castle link software)

Hi guys,

Am I right to update to the latest version of Castle Creations Ice 50 firmware and Castle Link software, even though the latest version of each of these is beta?

Or would I be better of just chosing the latest *final* version of both the firmware/software?

There apear to be lots of changes made across the beta versions, I don't want to miss anything important?

Castle posts comments on all the software and firmware revisions on their website.
I personally like to stay with "final" versions, but it's interesting to note that they have several beta versions stacked up since the last final.

Yeah, I was wondering about that.

Anybody know if it's possible to upgrade the firmware offline? i.e. download it to a file on hard drive, and then flash it up to the ESC without needing active Internet connection.

My Internet drops out sometimes, if the firmware upgrade is in process and it drops out, can this stuff up the ESC?
