Can anyone tell me where my Pitch should be at No Throttle, Half Throttle, and Full Throttle on the Bergen Ob. belt driven heli.

Any settings with the pitch on this heli will help me out allot. I want to make sure it is setup close to hovering as possible for AP/AV work.

Thanks

We typically would set it up for -6, +5, +11 or 12.

Your throttle will be whatever is needed to maintain appx 1650 in a hover, start out with midthrottle at appx 45% and adjust from there.

There is no hard and fast rule "It must be this". You have to adjust the pitch and throttle curves on your particular heli to give you the smoothest possible heli around the 1650 headspeed.

Rick,

Did you get the PM I sent with the DX7 settings? Remember your settings will be different due to your mechanics, but they do give you some point of reference.

Yes I did, Thanks

I don't no why I'm so dam afraid of this thing. :dontknow I have flown micro helis and nothing to this scale. This is a lot of money going in the air and I just want to make sure the settings are in a good default position. :) Micros don't take as much tuning to keep them in the air. I'm not sure if the Bergen is as easy to tune and fly. I have heard that bigger helis are easier to control as long as your settings are good. I will be using it for AP/AV work and need a smooth flight.

None of my local shops really know anything about helis. They sell mostly R/C Cars & Trucks and a few park planes.

I got it used and the old owner said that he had flown it several times and was used for AP. So I would guess that it would be set up close to where it should be other then the new DX7 that I installed.

So, with not messing with pitch settings all that much and I have a fly bar locking gauge. Do I set the radio settings to what the gauge reads or do I set the blades to a default pitch then set up the radio.

Thanks for the help guys you have been great. I've only been flying for a year so I guess I'm still a noob with the specs.
