Hi
I flew my 30 v2 today couple of tanks and no probs
Then I wanted to check the idle 1 setting turned on idle 1 and boy did the tracking go out a couple of inches i would say so turned off idle 1 but the tracking was still out not as much though about half inch
I have flown about a gallon of fuel through her and she has been flawless even when the top pilot at our club flew her with idle on the tracking was fine
She has never been crashed or had a hard landing so dont think the mainshaft or spindle is bent I also lubed the dampers before i put them in and the open bearings are in correct in the blade grips
Please help

Is this wood or carbon blades?
What headspeed are you running in normal and Idle 1?
How old is the heli, dampers do wear out and tracking problems are one of the symptoms.
Did you check the bearings in the grips for wear?
There is an easy check for a bent spindle, take one blade off and use a wrench to turn the screw that holds the blade grip on and watch the other blade tip as you turn the screw, any tweak in the spindle will be apparent as a wobble in the blade tip. Repeat for the other side.

Checked this out and the spindle is fine
The heli is new and only had a gallon of fuel through it
I am running thunder tiger carbons but not sure of head speed as i dont have a tach
I stripped the head down and everything is great except that the dampers were a bit dry so put some grease back on them but dont think this is the problem

I will bet your feathering shaft is bent....Take it out and check it...I will almost guarantee there is a slight bend in it. Replace it and set your tracking in the headspeed you run the most, usually the fastest...I have had this problem and it was a very very slight bend that caused the commotion. I didn't even have a crash just one slightly hard landing... :dontknow
Because the feathering shaft can rotate, the tracking can get off at times and seem to come back in at others. Let me know if this is the problem. It stumped us at my club for a day or two til I made a thread and someone gave me that as a possible problem. Hope it helps...

Hi Jeff
You lost the bet mate
When I was taking the ball links off the balls I found that one of the links was snapped in one place (one of the small ones, had to be the link that I wasn't turning to get the tracking on)how it stayed on is anybody's guess
So just ordered some from Midland Helis should be here Tuesday in the mean time I can borrow some of a friend let you know how it goes
Thanks for all your help everybody :smokin:
