I finally got my (eventual) Swift AP Platform in the air!
I waited a long time for a replacement ESC from Castle Creations, but it finally arrived and works, and I had my maiden hover a couple of days ago.
Wow, you could have made diamonds in my a$$!
After about 3 mins I realized that my gyro was not in HH mode, suddenly it got much easier!
SO now that I am really hooked, i have a couple of questions.
1- the tail still seems to drift a little, should I adjust the trim/subtrim or increase the gyro gain? - (gain at 50% right now.)
2- I am running the Z-power Z30A 800 on 7s emolis with a 9 tooth pinion, the Swift Tuning calculator spits out a conservative 1550 - 1750 headspeed (80-90% efficiency) which I assume would be at 100% throttle.
I am doing my first hovers with a linier throttle curve, What kind of throttle curve should I be looking at for a nice stable ship that will eventually be used for photography?
3- Failsafe settings, I know there are debates, but what are you using to try and protect your expensive camera gear?
That's about it for now, second and third flight I hovered almost the whole battery, did I say I am hooked?
well battery is ready again, so off I go!
thanks for your help,
Andrew.
