Anybody have experience on installing a scale body on the Trex 500 i.e. Align, Fusono, etc.? I'm concerned if the scale body would have enough clearance for a servo that's mounted on the boom. Pics, comments, etc. are appreciated http://www.helifreak.com/images/smilies/icon_%20peace.gif

Hi gixxernoob,

What fuselages are you looking at? Most will fit (may be minor modelling involved)

I'm looking at MD500 or EC-135 by fusono.

You will need to twist the rudder servo to around twenty five- thirty degree's and bring it in closer to the rear tail gear box on the Hughes with Trex 500 mechanics..... It's a bit of test fitting but does work.
Also you will need to cut a small slit in the end of the tail for the rudder linkage arm to sit so it does not bind in the fuselage inner boom.

Here is my retired Hughes 500MD
