View Full Version : CP Pro Rx; what powers it? And how will it power an AR6100?

I just got my DX7 and AR6100 (among other things) and I am getting ready to swap in the AR.
I assume there is a BEC of some sort built into the 3 in 1 (which would be 1 of the 3 functions)
But, when looking at the setup on the stock bird, I don't see how the Rx is getting power! Is it back feeding through the throttle channel?
How will I hook up the AR? (battery wise) I've seen many posts about the channel differences.
I've looked around and noon seems to mention it. I guess I'm just dumb like that?
Thanks!

Its powered through the rudder or throttle leads from the 3 in 1 to the receiver.... I'm not really sure which one, I thought it would be one or the other......but I checked the manual... On page 54 where it talks about adding a brusheless setup it says "BEC power is already supplied to the receiver and servos through the 3-in1 control unit throttle and rudder leads."
I replaced my receiver with a Spectrum RX as one of my first mods and the Pro makes it easy compared to the normal Blade.... well... easy to hook up at least, programming is a different story. Just unplug everything from the Pro's RX and plug them into the appropriate spots on your 6100.... then start programming the remote.

Cool... thanks!
I've started going through the basics from Finless' & Jermo's videos for the DX-7... just glad I don't need to worry about anything else! :)
