When first setting up the servos using a seperate reciever pack as per finless which channel do you plug the pack into, iam using a futaba 146, channels 1,2,+6 have servos in, should i use ch6 which would be the speed controller channel. The reason iam confused is that ch6 has a B on it for battery.

You can plug it into any open slot or use a Y connector and also use any slot. All the positives and all the negatives are connected together on the Rx.
BTW servos should be plugged into 1, 2 and 6. Gyro into 4, and gyro gain into 5, and the ESC into 3.

Just remove the ESC plug from 3 and power it there.

For me this also is the better method.
Otherwise I keep programming my ESC by insident, when I plugin the battery and forget to return the throttle stick in the down postion or leave the idle up switch activated during setup :).
