In the instructions it gives the dimensions for the holes in the servo wheels for the ball links. However it says if you are using JR servos you
can use the small white wheels that have the holes already in them. I can see that working for the collective but for the aileron and don't see holes that match what the instructions call for. Should I use the larger wheels and drill the holes or are there holes on the small wheels that are close enough? :dontknow

I use the larger wheels and drill them acordingly.

I too use larger wheels and drill them to the instructions ... the JR holes will work ,,but measuring and drilling is by far better .

Thanks guys. That is what I was thinking.

I first tried the factory holes in my Ace Servos with no luck the linkages dont line up -- went with the largest futaba wheels for pitch-Ail-Elv and drilled them to the the offset numbers and they work -- I think that was the hardest part of my build of my new Bergen Intrepid EB --

On the advice of Chris, Larry & Gary - I too did the big wheels with offset holes. For what it's worth I made a template using a new piece of plexiglass with the paper backing still on it. With a fine pencil outline the wheel and mark the center. You can then do all the measurments/markings pretty easily. drill the plexiglass, line up & clamp wheels to plexiglass and drill away. A little time consuming at first but in the event you need to do it again it will be quick and easy.

That's an even better idea! Another quick question from the Bergen Virgin. The radius links (part#1205) there are two marked 1205 L and two marked 1205 R. The instructions say to use the left handed links. If that's the case what are the 1205 R links for :dontknow

Bergen virgin ( I like that )
use the left handed ones ... the other right handed ones are for those who like to play with the setup to get different mixing ratios for doing wild stuff that I only dream of doing so don't ask me to explain how and why. :dontknow :arggg:

They look the same to me except for the hole for the ball link. On one side the hole for the ball link is a slightly smaller diameter. The difference between the left and right is the smaller diameter hole is on the opposite side.

Yes .. the small side is always out ..the large size part of the hole always goes on to the ball . thus the lefts allow the A arms to trail the control to the flybar arms and if you install the rights on the A arms you can then reverse the control arms and proceed the control to the flybar arms and get faster control inputs and other stuff that I don't understand ...... I told you not to ask me :dontknow    :?

Maybe Chris , Gary or Greg will chime in here ... soon ,,but if you aren't a serious 3-D guy ,,,just install the lefts according to the manual and you will be o.k.
