I have epoxied the blade root covers to the blades on my Swift. I put epoxy on both the blade and the covers, assembled it all and put in the two small screws to fasten top and bottom blade root covers. I then clamped the back end of the blade root cover lightly until the epoxy set.
I have noticed that when the blade bolt spacer is installed it sticks out of either side of the finished blade and cover assembly. ie it's too long.
However looking at the blade grip, it seems to have a little channel cut in it that accommodates the spacer.
Should I have put the blade bolt spacer in place when I was gluing the covers on and then clamped the covers down to the dimensions of the spacer or is it OK to have the spacer proud of the blade assembly?
