What is everyones opinion of the caliber 5, are parts pretty easy to get? any major issues?

I think it is a pretty good chopper. It dominates my clubs heli population.

Flies great, goes together easily. Only downside I know is that spares are a little expensive compared to "lesser quality heli's".

I do not have a flying club and this is my first heli, but other than the abuse I give it learning to fly, it seems to be a good machine. The parts do not seem that expensive, however I order them on line. The wait is harder for me than the impact on my wallet.

I love it..I have done some mods and for the past 4 or 5 days have been really flying it hard..No complaints yet...I like it more than the Raptor 50`s I was flying...

I'm on my second caliber-5 and I am very happy with it. The C-5 is more stable than my caliber-30s in strong wind and has more power than my concept-60 sr2's.

I'd be very interested in any mods that folks have found to be helpful for the C-5.

2 recent changes I made to it..I changed the plastic slide coller to an aluminum one..There is alot of slop in it with the plastic one..None now..The one in the head..I also put a 15 tooth pinion gear in it.Stock is a 14..Doing this change will get the head speed up a bit.The stock gear wont get the speed I need..It does now..I have about 4 gallons of fuel through mine now,no worn parts or broken parts and she gets flown hard.Great heli..

Laurens, just cuz the parts are cheaper doesn't mean the heli quality is less :D

Well you need a file if your building a raptor but other than that its just as good as a Caliber

I like the belt drive, I've heard they are smooth and quiet. I'm supposed to be getting one but it hasnt shown up yet.

Have 2 of them, they fly on rails, there is something about the flyign characteristics of the caliber5, it seems a combination of sport flying when you want to, and can kee up with anything you through at it in 3D. Very solid ship.
