I got alot of questions on cyclic deflection which till today i still dont really understand.
Can anyone explain to me what is Cyclic Deflection ?
What's the different between Cyclic degree, Pitch degree and Cyclic deflection degree ?
How do i check my cyclic deflection degree ?
I kept reading what Eric posted on his website. But somehow i jus dont really get it. http://www.ericlarsonrc.com/Heli/Equipment/Stratus/Stratus_Update.htm
" Ok now that you understand I will say WARNING again. You can get more cyclic speed by installing .038 worth of shims under the pitch link inner swashplate balls. You will also need to shorten the antirotation bolt on the outer swashplate ring to ensure that the bolt will not interfere with the pitch links. ALSO closely inspect everything else to make sure that at ANY angles that the pitch ball links are not rubbing anything. This mod will give you around 8+ degrees of blade cyclic deflection. Do not increase the flybar cyclic deflection. Why? Well that reminds me of the phrase I could tell you but then I would have to kill you deal. Now BE CAREFULL! As long as you have a strong enough motor to pull that much pitch you will have a lot faster cyclic. Keep in mind you will also have a greater chance of cutting your tail boom off if you are ham fisted with negative pitch and cyclic together. Also if you have one of those high HP OMI modified motors and are running 11 or more degrees of collective pitch you really need to know your limitations. "
Finally, Eric was saying to speed up the cyclic, i can install .038 wort of shims under the pitch link inner swashplate balls. Do MA sell longer balls instade of adding the shims, what's the part number ?
