Is there a Guide..etc for learning collective management?

hehe..I do need to send you a pm :oops: ..I'm planning for my son and I to come down saturday. I need to get more specific directions..etc. I really want to be hardcore on the basics before I go 3D. I'm doing some basic 3D on the Sim and most crashes seem to be lack of basics. One of the guys in Charlotte commented that I was flying very well considering I just started this past Feb.

I'm not sure if there is a way to learn it quickly. It seems like everything you do calls for different amounts of collective input. Rolls to the right call for slightly different collective stick movement than rolls to the left. Same goes for front flips vs back flips. Its not a huge difference, but it is slightly different. The best advice I could give is to just go easy on the collective stick and practice, practice, practice. If you find yourself banging the stick from full pos to full neg you will get poor performance from your heli (unless its a tic toc or something that calls for extreme collective throws). The more you "time" your collective stick with what the heli is doing in the air, the smoother it will fly.
