Raptor 60/YS61 WHY SO WEAK?

Hey guys.

last weekend i was out flying the raptor 60 and noticed this thing is madly underpowered. Now by no means am i a Tuning Expert but i would say im in a satisfactory state of tune for a good performing engine. I using a 10T pinion and the 95T Main. Spinning Maverick 680MM and the rest is stock TT. The powerplant is an YS61 running (Cool power 30% heli mix)
-10 0 +10 for a pitch curve and 100 70 55 70 100 for a Throttle curve with no Governor. I can hear this thing loose some much head speed during basic rolls and loops im afraid to even attempt them any more before this thing falls out of the sky. Again no seasoned collective king but i believe im good enough to do these maneuvers without loosing that much headspeed. Im sorry but i do not have a tach, im working on that. I am 100% sure that im getting full throttle from the carb as i have followed write up's from RT. I guess my main question is, what do you guys believe it is that is causing such low performance in my setup. Im not sure about different pinions or main gears im just assuming similar setups out there perform much better than mine

55? Assuming your talking about my mid stick Throttle. This is what i have been told to run from several people if im not going to use a Governor. I played with my Middle and 1/4-3/4 points all day upping them with no avail. 100-80-70-80-100 was the highest i ran and still was pretty doggy.

To set my governor up I turn it off and get the helicopter running the best it can on throttle curves THEN turn the governor on.

Also with the YS you will be running 1750-1850 headspeed.

I would double check that gear ration too. ;)

Another newbie question, how do i go about calculating my HS. Im Familiar with Electric setup but not sure what differs for calculating it for an Engine

YS 61 = MAX RPM 18,000 RPM - I would say target 16,000 but the experts would know better

Calculating gear ratio - Sometimes a video is just easier. This was done using a much lower headspeed but the math is the same

Thanks very much Debiandog, that's very helpful. I just thumbed through my Raptor manual and i could not find a reference to what Headspeed is acceptable to run on this machine.
