Ok just bought a complete set up and have the FP 6S 4900 pack, I have an Astro 109 charger and the FP Balancer but I need some type of power supply to make it all work. I will have to convert from 220v to 110v for the power supply I'm sure. All I have over here is 24V DC in the trucks and 220V in the room ... I have a 1500 watt AC Converter that drops my 220v down to 110, hopefully that will be enough for a power supply.

I can remove the seat in the HMMV and just hook to one battery for 12V but its a real pain in the butt...

Any suggestions ??

I use a PC power supply for my charging at the house, it has a switch for 220. It took just a few dollars to convert it..i.e. binding posts, resistor. here is a link that will walk you through it, but I would search some more to make sure it will work http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.batts/ps/POWERSUPPLY.HTM

Hope this helps, I put two 10 watt, 10 ohm wire wound load resistor (sandbar - about $0.80 at Radio Shack) on the +5v side and get 12.02 volts on my 300 watt supply.. also checked amps and get about 2.8 consistently, of course a larger wattage on the ps will get you more. I didn't put a switch on it cuz the ps already has one, and I only put on binding posts for +12v and ground. Not going to need the other stuff, dedicated to my charging.

Stay safe in Iraq, Godspeed

Thanks Robert

My wife picked me one up at Radio Shack, 25 amp model, I have a 220 to 110 1500 watt converter so that should power it just fine. At 25 amp its probably way over kill for one charger but who knows I will probably expand chargers and batteries ...

Thanks again

Craig

I should of mentioned that supply, should work great for you. I just have a bunch of computer parts laying around so I felt good about recycling and not spending much. Hope you can mount a cam to your bird and get some good vids, once again stay safe. Sua sponte
