Hi folks,
Can someone please tell me how to physically connect the DX7 to the G3.5 controller to get it working? I tried to do so by connecting the JR cable that comes with RealFlight to the trainer plug on the DX7. Nothing happens, other than the DX7's LCD screen turning on while its power switch is in the off position.
Once connected, how do I set the DX7, do I create a new model, do I have to bind something?
Thanks for any help Fred

start up G3 plug in your DX7
up top there will be a controllers menu.
open that and pick your controller.
will be somthing like 8 channel Tx or somthing like that.
once you have that controller picked.
you calibrate it
then channel map and you should be good to go.
if you have issues with the channel mapping
make a seperate plane model and the channel map should be ok.

Quick once over,
1. Create a new model in the DX7 and set it for Aircraft (then power off)
2. Plug in the JR cable between the supplied controller and your DX7
3. Launch G3.5
4. Map the channels (I'm at work so I dont' have it in front of me).
You should be good to go. The only thing I've had not work is Throttle hold, it works on my Aux2 switch instead of D/R. There may be a fix but it's just not been at the top of my list.

Thank you so much. I never was given the option of selecting the TX being that I am using a laptop to run the program. I switched the program to a PC and now I get the option. I now have to go into the TX and switch the direction of some servos after which I should be fine.
Question, is it possible to reset the program from the TX? After crashing, I tried to do as such to no avail. I also tried to reset it from the RealFlight controller but it too would not engage. How does one go about doing so with the TX connected?
Thanks again

You should not have to switch anything in the TX, when you do the channel mapping you take care of that there! :glasses2:

I thought I had this down until I spent about an hour trying to do the channel mapping and when I was done with remapping the channels, it would not save my remapping but everytime it would revert to what was on the channel map originally. I am sure it is something simple I was not doing, but any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Yes... the channel mapping thing sucks! I had to set mine up 3-4 times before it finally saved it . I've heard others say they had the same problem. Maybe we're
all doing something wrong lol!! :arggg:

I used the radio specs that Heli_Harry put out on the other Spectrum / G3.0 thread and it worked perfectly first time through...

Doug...
Could you send me the link to that thread?
I am having problems myself.
Thanks,
