Ive heard that woodies on a raptor 50 are very dangerous. they say that they break at the roots and become a high speed projectile.
Is this true? what is your opinion about them? Should i just invest in carbons?

If your using them for hovering and starting forward flight they are fine. When I felt more comfortable going to fast forward flight I changed over to fibreglass blades. I noticed a fair difference in flight characteristics between woodies and glass, but if your just starting out then the woodies will see you through. You could probably buy 2 1/2 sets of woodies compared to 1 set of carbons. If you follow the mounting instructions closely you wont have a problem. I wouldnt run them at idle up though as it may be too fast but not sure on this, but for normal hovering mode you will be ok.

I've seen woodies do just about everything. I wouldn't worry about CF unless you want the bling factor.
I just did a rebuilt on a r50 , I thought the crash was pcm lockout but wasn't sure(it happened fast and low) Rebuilt with woodies.
Did my radio test , took off into a 4' hover -looking for tracking ,,,,,,,,,She leaned forward and into the dirt :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: Lost Radio.
I still havn't got back to find the problem ,, But I'm glad they were woodies and not $100 nhps

Be sure to glue the roots as suggested and don't fly them over 1800 RPM and you'll be OK.

Ditto to that. When you start trying 3D then it is time for carbons.
