Check your BEC with a volt meter just to be safe.

Hi,

mine is 5.8 Volts, so I went for a 9254 for the tail an quick anlalog servos for the swash. This make a very responsive heli.

Actually this comes up a lot and was discussed a lot with the Trex600.

Futaba say N/A to 6V on some servos because of Nicad packs. A 5 cell fully charge Nicad pack actually puts out over 6V. This will damage servos not rated for 6V. Now a fully charged 4 cell nicad pack puts out about 5.4. So becasue of this Futaba say N/A to 6V use.

Now the Align BEC or other regulated BEC's put out 5.8 volts. THis will work fine on 9252 servos. There are plenty of people running 9252's this way with no problem.

As for the 9254... The tail servo must have the step down on it. It can handle the voltage but not for long periods of time as the frame rate is higher than from an RX. So it is best to step it down for longer life.
