Great a price war. :)

And Per, I will definitely take one of the combos at $249.99. Nothing like adding the ESC/BEC and knocking $50 off for getting more. :)

Hmm, if a store has a typo, they have to sell at that price, until they change the displayed price. :)

It says RC Expert on the website.

I see the name Hurricane and I also see the name Hurrican

Is this two different brands of heli using nearly the same name?

Also what are CNC helicopters? Never heard of that type of heli. Is that a new type swash arrangment?

Yes

The Hurrican 50 is an original 50 size gas heli and it can be converted to Electric

Some pictures i share with RC-Expert, i take some of my stuff from the same distribiture as they do in Hong Kong so they let me share some of there stuff

CNC means the head and or tail is cnc/aluminum instead of plastic, that is comon abrevation for thouse kind of helicopters

One of the best CNC for the price is the HDX450 same as the TREX 450 SE if not better then the TREX.

And you pay less, the A frame or the F frame is my 2 favorits and you can get them in G-10 or CF.

I kve them in kit with motor to with all electronics and with all elec. + batteries

Guess I should hear them called CNC helis then if it is so common. But at the fields and events I just hear other pilots say they have a metal rotor head or all metal tail. I have never seen/heard of helis grouped as CNC.

Been to Texas and all states around it going to events. Never heard them called CNC helis.
I have heard about CNC'd parts. But never the heli called CNC. Unless the whole heli was manufactuered using a CNC machine. Then it might be called that. But I have yet to see a heli is manufactuered totally with a CNC machine.

Guys,

I am new here and need a little help if you don't mind.
I bought a Hurricane rtf and seem to have barely enough power to hover for a couple minutes. The heli has no pick up what so ever.
It came with 2 3 cells batteries and I was told to connect them together.
How should I do it? What do I solder to what?
Please help me out, it would much appreciated.

Thanks.
Emmanuel.

Go to the battery section and search for series battery connections.

Is anyone using 9252s for cyclic ?

Is anyone using 9252s for cyclic ?

Plenty of torque, ok speed but it has a 4.8V limit. Most BEC's put out 5V or just over that. It may be ok but why rist it when you can use a 9451.

The 9451 has more torque, is faster at 4.8, can run on 6v and be even faster...also...it costs the same as the 9252.

Check out the specs here: http://www.servocity.com/html/futaba_servos.html

Note that if there are no 6V specs it is not safe to run on 6V.

I already have an extra 9252 so I would only need two more.I have a 9254 spare also and I plan to use that as well but I see from recent post that my main concern should be,when are we going to get some gears to handle upgraded motors.thanks for the info....todd

If you make sure you are running a 5v BEC and it ACTUALLY IS putting out 5V you should be fine.

If your 5v BEC puts out more than 5.5v (this happens pretty often) eventually you will burn out your motors or the digital motor driver board in the 9252 servos.

After your first few flights feel the bottoms of the servos and the side of the servo cases. If they feel hot (just warm is ok) stop flying and get some new servos.

I have seen cyclic servos failures. There is no saving the heli when that happens. Just hit the hold switch and pray you are far from spectators and that the rotor slows down as much as possible before it hits the ground.

I did not know that. I thought 5v meant 5v.I have an align bec on my 600 with 9252s,cyclic and 9254 for my tail and never thought to question the output.I would never fly near anyone. My skill level is way down there but I am EXTREMELY safety conscious.
