fellas I'm curious what you think

I got my 2100T all mounted & dialed in on my BeltCP, using an S3154 on the tail

it's set to 'other digital servo' (middle red LED), and I used 35% initial gain in rate mode to get the tail mechanicals centered; the tail shaft is straight, no vibes/binding in head nor tail

all appears ok... but on the first few flts in the garage (WAY too windy here for outside flt) I flipped up into 'TL' on the tx (green light on on the gyro) and set the initial tx gain to 75...I got her up in a hover, but the tail wags like crazy

then I went down to 51, and still get an oscillation/wag

I can drop down to around 35 or so, and she's much better

but my question: I've seen over and over on the boards of pilots using tx gain in the 75+ range... with apparently no wag??

just wondering why I need to drop down to 35 in the tx to make the tail be still in hover

maybe it ain't no big deal... I haven't gotten her up and thrashed 'er around yet...but am I still getting the taillock function when I drop below 51 tx gain (Futaba 6EXH)? I always thought rate was 1-50 and HH was 51-100?

so a bit bemused here

thx for any help, fellas

You should have it set to #1 for the servo...the middle #2 is for high speed analog.. #3 is for normal speed analog

Nope, setting #1 is for the Logictech specific servo (LTS-6100G) only. See here (http://www.heliguy.com/Forum/logictech-1200t-servo-speed-timings-t5500.html) for more info.

I didn't realize that...from what I "translated" from the manual I just thought they meant a dedicated digital servo..... my bad :)
