View Full Version : Bad for heli?

Ive been playing around with Phoenix for quite a while now. Doing piroflips inverted hover etc.
Sometimes when I push the heli a bit hard, i hear the blades ... sort of stuggling/flapping. The small models are way more sensitive to this than the larger ones.
Should I fly trying to avoid that (for future real-life flying), or is it okay to give the blades/heli a little kick?

If you have a look at the real video's here what d you think? The heli should be able to handle pretty hard stick banging. If it is going to be the style you like that's completely up to yourself.....

if you hear the engine struggling and the rpm dropping your pushing too hard. this should be avoided.

its all about collective/cyclic management

That seems to be the answer I was looking for, Ade.
Well thank you then :D
I noticed that its a lot harder avoiding that with smaller helis than the t-rex 600 for instance. Takes practice I guess, the collective/cyclic management thing.
Thanks
