Greetings All!!

I am looking to add a small electric heli to my collection and was considering the Swift. I then did some research and came to this forum and read about some of the problems my fellow pilots have been having with this model.

My questions are: has enough time gone by to fully trust that the problems that have effected Swift been corrected? Would you buy one?

Thanks for your thoughts

Well I own two, so perhaps I am biased, but the the first has been trouble free for me and a great flyer. The second, well, still not airborne  , but really close

There were some refinements made with the first batch, and since then I believe they are a great machine, that is cheap to own and fly, and does fly really well!

You will love it! :D

Mine with the 550+ and four cell lipo, flys like a hot 30 , one with an OS37.

The other, with a 6cell lipo is like a hot 90!!

Either on 5 cells is somewhere in between.

I would not buy another.
The trex 600 is a better choice for a number of reasons (quality parts and support, driven tail,600mm blades, etc.), or if you really want performance and quality, Mikado.

I tried mine on 10s 2500mah flightpowers and a neu 1910 1.5y, 550mm blades and 2300rpm on the head. It flew pretty respectably, but parts wore out quickly and perfomance was still way behind my logo 14.

It's not a bad heli, but there are better alternatives out there :dontknow .

The Swift is my 4th heli, I love it. All of my buddies love to fly it. It's a basic 4S w/a Century 550 motor. I have only been flying a year but this is by far my favorite. (Blade CP, MX-400, HDX-450). I have alot of stick time on a JR venture w/a O.S. 37, it is not as powerfull as that but better then when the JR had a O.S. 32. It flips/rolls on axis with no problem (and I am not good). I have had my buddies JR Venture over the last two weeks and I would buy this one in a heartbeat over a gas Heli and I spent half of what I would of on a T-Rex 600 (which I would love to own). I think this is a great all around heli myself and would say go for it.

I would say to go for it. I own one and the wife has one also, We both love the way it flys. We are not the best pilots -- but it sure handles well. Very smooth.

If your after a heli this size,go Logo 10,instead of Swift.I've got both,Logo builds better, much more solid, more reliable and flies much better.
And, unlike the Swift, flies stock from the box :glasses2:

BROD, Mine flew stock from the box. It flies very well. 600+ motor on 5s 4000 10T pinion, flies nicely. I will be getting a 6S some day. I don't need it yet as it flies ,climbs, flips and rolls fast enough for most sport pilots. I also fly it on 4S 10T pinion as a sedate sport ship no hard 3d. 4S 11T for moderate aerobatics.
What does a Logo 10 cost? What do the parts cost. How long to get and availability? Tower Hobbies has most of the Swift parts in stock all the time and great service.
I would bet that this is THE most bang for the buck going right now.

I liked mine so much I bought a second for a camera ship. The 4S setup with a 600+ motor only weighs 5.5 pounds and there is tons of room for anything you want to mount on it.

What do you mean "And, unlike the Swift, flies stock from the box "

Both my Swifts are "stock from the box" and the oldest one has been flying some pretty hard 3D for over a year now on 6S1P Flite power cells through the Century Lightning 80 ESC feeding their 600 motor.

It has been man handled by myself and by my local hard-core 3Ders on many occasions (many have since got there own now).

It is one of my favorite "stock" helis. :)

I have the 550 motor and ELECTRON 50/60 ESC on a 4S Power is adequate but I should have gone with the 600+ motor and 80amp speed controller for 6s upgradeability. I have about 25 flights and barely ever fly my HDX-450 any more.
