Anybody hear about manufacturer's like TT or Quick coming out with aluminum stuff for the 325? I'm really gunning for somebody to make a CF frame to help take some weight off...and maybe a canopy made out of a light er material, but I think the aluminum head and tail stuff would help the most.

I haven't seen the aluminum head parts in person yet, but if you plan on adding the alum. parts thats not going to make it lighter.

Hi,
I'm still a newbie with heli's and saving for a mini raptor.
looks like a great design imo, for me my second heli.
A question for the guys who fly this heli for awhile now:
How good are the plastic parts, general quality, stiffness ,crash-results and do they wear fast??
I really love bling, but isn't it also true that aluminium is heavier and deforms permanently after a crash or a hard landing (needs to be replaced).
What would be the specific advantage of Allu parts on this heli, just the looks or also more performance/durability?
Thanks in advance
Eric

Well the head will help tons, because with the plastic one, it wobbles a bit on the main shaft, so It gives you tracking problems.

Aluminum is definitely more durable than plastic. Plastic parts break more often in a crash than does the aluminum. You'll wind up spending at least as much on plastic parts with what breaks in an average crash, then with aluminum. Also, the parts are more rigid and will fly more true doing 3D stuff due to less flex. I'd imagine it would be safer running higher head speeds too, especially on the tail.

Thanks guys :),
Well i saw the prices of the replacement parts and was very pleased with them.
Prices i can spend without getting divorced ;)
I can't afford a RexSE, so this was the best alternative imo
I'll certainly will wreck it a couple of times, as i already did with my DF60.
(bad electronics, and hard to setup properly imo)
That's also the reason i'm going for the raptor (with GY401 and good servo's), believe its more stable and rigid then a walkera, really 3d capable (with an eye on the future)and the replacement parts are not that more expensive.
Well..
Really Hope i make the right choice now.
And keep saving for the moment the allu parts come out.
When they come i can't resist anyway.
