Well my Interlink controller 3.5 just broke again, the pin that mounts the tensioner snapped off (again). The first time RealFlight support was awesome and replaced it without questions, and I am sure they will again. I was wondering if anyone has a fix for this, I just feel that it will break again. We are all tinkerers and I thought it might just be better to fix it myself. Only prob I foresee is that it might void warranty..... any thoughts?

its a common problem with the G3 controller.
the fix for it can be found by searching the G3 forums.

http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/index.php?

from what i remember from reading some of the threads its an easy fix.

I am now on my second. I am keeping the first one since I replaced 2 of of the stick return pins, and soldered in a new USB cable. It will cost me $50 but now I keep it at the office.

Hi guys, new to Helifreak...looks awesome so far.

Really good news on the broken controller front...I just got mine back after waiting for 6 weeks. They have addressed the problem and are now using metal pins. I took mine apart last night and the plastic pins that were / are the problem have been replaced with metal so that should do it. It looks like they ae molded right into the wall from what I can tell.

Good luck

My first interlink broke. They sent me a new one and this one has been just fine for a couple months now.

The new Interlink controller is out with a resized internal design to prevent the pivot pins from snapping. I just got one in the shop of the kiosk so we will see how it holds up to customer wrath.

Our Realflight G3.5 interlink controller broke yesterday. Called them and they asked us to send them our broken one, and they would replace it.

I am very greatful for the free replacement. Thanks Realflight!!!!!
