I've been thinking for a while that I should have a centralized location for tx settings for the gain and calibration of various transmitters. So if you guys that are currently using the AP2000i would be so kind as to send me your settings, I'll try to get them into some sort of order. This would go far to helping new users with their set ups as well as giving those of us that have been using the AP2000i other possible configurations.
Try to make the setup directions follow along as if you were doing it. Something like this:
Futaba 9C-Slider activated gain
Basic screen
-AUX-CH screen
AUX8>Vr-D (l/h slider, reverse as desired)
Advanced screen
-Program Mix 6 Pg2/2
Mix>on
Mas>AUX2
Slv>AUX2
Link>Off
Sw>F (Your choice)
Position>UP
-Program Mix6 Pg1/1
Pos-1> -10%
2> 0%
3> 0%
4> 0%
5> 0%

Great idea Mark. :lolol I have just about finished a Bergen Intrepid EB and will be putting a AP2000i on it so if anyone has settings for a JR 9303 that would be great.

""AP2000i gain (sensitivity) & calibration set up for a JR 9303 transmitter on a Maxi-Joker 2
The gear switch is used to turn the GY401 heading hold function on and off. The AUX2 switch is used in conjunction with the right slider lever (AUX3) to control the AP2000i.
The way it works is as follows:
With the AUX2 switch in the forward or "0" position, the sensitivity of the Spartan is controlled between 30% and 87% by moving the slider through its range.
With the AUX2 switch in the middle or "1" position the range is from "OFF" to 75% depending on the position of the slider.
With the AUX2 switch in the aft or "2" position, the range is from "CAL" to 46% depending on the position of the slider.
To calibrate the unit, move the slider full aft with the AUX2 switch forward. This provides 30% sensitivity. When reaching a stable hover, calibrate the Spartan by moving the Aux2 switch to the aft position for one second. Return it to the forward position to resume 30% sensitivity or alternativly, just move the slider forward with the AUX2 switch still in the aft position. The AUX 2 switch can be used to select the range of sensitivity desired and the slider to fine tune the level. This setup has worked very well.
To set the radio up, do the following:
1. In the "DeviceSEL" menu, map AUX2 to the AUX2 SW and AUX3 to the AUX3 LEV.
2. In the "TRVL ADJ. menu, Set the travel of AUX3 to +50% and -129%
3. In the "PROG.Mix1" menu (see attached picture) AUX2 - AUX3 SW SELECT set the curve with "Point-0" to -100, "Point-3" to +18 and "Point-6" to +71. EXP is OFF.
4. Go to the MONITOR menu and observe how AUX3 moves in conjunction with the AUX2 switch and slider combination. This will illustrate the results. With the 9303 and AP2000i ON - observe the changes in sensitivity on the AP2000i display as you move the switch and slider combination."
Hope this helps.

Here's what I did for the DX7: http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=31943
There's no slider for gain on the DX7, but using a cmbination of three switches I am able to 6 discrete gain settings + CAL and off/disabled.

Finally got my hands on a 9303 and got the programming to work as I've got on my 9C. Except the switch and lever on on the right. I can't find in the 9303 how to select the l/h lever and the switch assignments aren't as flexible as the 9C.
Anyhow, what you get is r/h lever for gain adjustment from OFF-100% and the T.Hold/AUX2 switch as calibration switch.
In system menu, deviceSEL
-AUX2 assign to AUX3 lever
In function list
-Program mix 1
Assign AUX2 to AUX2 mix
SW Select assign to HLD ON (you would need to reassign your hold in system menu)
Point-0; Change to –26%
Point-1 to point-6; Change to 0% or INH
EXP set to ON

9303 here also here is what I did
I set the Gear to RUDD/DR top right switch above Thold
I mixed GEAR -> AUX3 and the curve is
Point 0 -31
Point 1 INH
Point 2 INH
Point 3 0
Point 4 INH
Point 5 INH
Point 6 -2
Expo set to off
This lets me use my rudder switch to calibrate and then my slider to get me from 0 -93% on the AP2000
Mark why do you have expo set to on?
Also I think this is setup correct, I am by no means an expert on the AP2000

I just noticed that if you hit the switch with gain on it would reduce the amount of gain. It was lessened with the expo on.
I'm certainly no expert...especially with the 9303. I've never really played with a JR radio before this one but I'm now glad that I started with Futaba. That's just me...no flaming required :D
